EDIE FAKE AND DEWAYNE SLIGHTWEIGHT ARE THE PEACECORE BOOK TOUR! Dewayne Slightweight, the genius behind the book-operetta "Your Burrow Is Deeper Than Your Blade" and Edie Fake, maker of "Gaylord Phoenix" and the food-fetish zine "Foie Gras" are taking their show on the road this Spring! The PeaceCore Book Tour will be sweeping the entire U.S. and major metropolitan Canada! The PeaceCore is bringing with it a secret city, forcing theoretical Gay Utopia into practice. Dewayne and Edie perform out of fraternal twin chalets - the owl holes where the swans and bats nest - and open themselves up to you. Singing magic songs of the new feminist now, Dewayne sends you crawling through "Your Burrow" to a place where you have never been more alive and one with all-the-vibrations-of-the-universe. Then with skin splayed, Edie Fake pulls you backwards through the song-video realms of the dead - Valhalla, Crowleyism, Paisley Parks. The whole affair is punctuated with queer rituals and mind-expansion for an hour of song, cinema, sex and ceremony. Please check out our tour schedule below! DEWAYNE SLIGHTWEIGHT lives in Chicago in the crow's nest of a ship of a house. He ran the HOME Trans Film Fest in 2004 and helped organize the PILOT TV Trans Feminist Media Conference which created a three-story autonomous television studio for four days. He received a City of Chicago/Illinois Arts Council CAAP grant to complete "Your Burrow Is Deeper Than Your Blade" -both a book of volcanic transmutations and a CD with recordings of the anthems of the soul. Dewayne lives with a little animal named both "Burrito Suizo" and "Flossy Flossface." EDIE FAKE lives in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but is basically nomadic. When he lived in Chicago a year ago, he also helped organize PILOT TV and worked at their Secret Cafe. Since 2003 he has been doing a zine/comic called "Gaylord Phoenix" and this year he began the Joy of Cooking remix zine "Foie Gras". He goes on tour with the latest Gaylord (also CAAP funded) and two totally NEW zines: "This Is Not A Place For Lovers" and "Rico McTaco". His latest show was an installation - "Gaylord Phoenix In The Flower Temple" - done for the Mutton Busting Festival in Calgary, Canada. KIM KELLY lives and loves in Chicago. She understands the deep inner lives of dogs and the curative powers of fire and nudity. Kim also assisted in bringing PILOT TV to life in 2004 and has been steadily producing drawings, posters, screenprints, mind-blowing mix tapes and other ephemera of paradise since "who knows when". She joins the PeaceCore for our whole tour as our president artist in present residence. A modern mystic of the highest order, she will screen small movies, partake in festivities and invoke Radical Happiness through ink and action.
